Cardiovascular disease is a leading cause of death. We can change that.
Over the past three decades, cardiovascular deaths and disabilities have steadily increased worldwide. Lives are at stake, and the urgency to act is paramount. Our care providers know what it will take to help community members recover from cardiovascular threats and avoid them altogether: investments in prevention, innovation and expansion.
Our history of leadership and strong national reputation for world-class cardiac care positions us to play a significant role in improving cardiovascular health in our community and nationwide. Now, we need you. If you or your loved ones have experienced heart disease, if this cause ignites your passion for helping people live longer, healthier lives, partner with us to change the story.
Prevention programs will halt heart disease before it takes hold.
Investments in innovation will bring enhanced treatments, state-of-the-art, early-detection imaging, and more clinical trials in more locations.
Finally, new and renovated facilities at Moses Cone Hospital and Alamance Regional Medical Center wil build upon Cone Health's reputation as one of the country's most prestigious heart and vascular programs. These projects will revolutionize care in a variety of ways. Picture greater collaboration on team-based approaches to patients' cases. A new center for cardiac rehab that helps patients prevent disease recurrence. One central complex, improving the patient care journey overall with appointments under one roof or within walking distance – cardiology; heart, vascular and chest surgery; nurse visits; nutrition; imaging; pharmacy; wellness; social services and transportation. We look forward to this and more as we carry out this exciting vision.
Heart & Vascular is the cornerstone of The Campaign for Healthy Communities, and we have every reason to be confident in our ability to reduce mortality across all populations in our five-county area and empoer community members to prevent heart disease.
