Gifts to this fund provides unrestricted financial support for patient care. This allows us to put the funds to use wherever the need is greatest as specific needs arise throughout the year to benefit our patients.
THN Care Management Fund
Gifts to this fund provide emergency financial assistance towards basic necessities such as mobile meals, utilities, transportation to qualifying patients being treated for chronic disease.
Wright Patient Assistance Fund

Gifts to this fund supports the special needs of patients not covered by other philanthropy funds.
Dr. Mohammd Amjad Bhatti Fund
Alamance
The Dr. Mohammad Amjad Bhatti Fund was established at Alamance Regional Charitable Foundation in December of 2020 by a gift from his family in his memory. The family wishes to use the fund to help patients that need surgery at Alamance Regional Medical Center and need financial assistance. Patients that are identified as needing financial assistance will receive help with the basic needs of life like rent, utilities, food, transportation and supplies from the fund.
HomeCare Providers Emergency Fund
Alamance
Assists community dwelling patients of HomeCare Providers with emergency expenses where there is no payor. These funds may be used for housing, food or other basic needs.
Larry Crawford Fund

Provides temporary financial assistance for less fortunate surgery patients.
Medication Management Clinic
Alamance
Provides medication access, education, and management to persons who have limited financial resources and no prescription insurance coverage. Medication Management Clinic also provides medication education and management to seniors who have insurance coverage.
Patient Emergency Fund

Assists patients who have nothing and need temporary assistance, such as a place to stay, a meal, a ride, etc. (these patients do not qualify for assistance from another fund).
Rehab/Wellness Fund
Alamance
Helps with the cost of medical supplies for patients who are in rehab and cannot afford the services associated with some supplies. The fund also provides community wellness and chronic disease prevention programs for adolescents and adults.

Provides direct financial assistance for all qualified cancer patients.
Cancer Outreach Fund

Provides community education programs (i.e. Slip Slop Slap); lung screening; breast screenings, biopsies, surgeries, diagnostic mammograms, ultrasounds.

To cover the cost of screenings for people without insurance or other financial means.
C. R. Byrd Fund

Pays for medications of cancer patients who cannot afford to purchase medications needed to control the side effects of their cancer treatment.

Provides special amenities, such as comfortable and pleasant surroundings for patients and their families.
Denise Marie Flaherty Fund

Assists cancer patients with counseling, lawn and meal services, and light housekeeping when treatment has taken a heavy toll on their body.

Pink Ribbon Fund

Assists less fortunate breast cancer patients with financial needs such as medical supplies, basic needs, food and gas cards, wigs, lymphedema sleeves, bras, and prosthesis. For patients found to have a malignancy, the fund provides for breast cancer therapy essentials.
Survivorship Fund

Benefits survivors, patients and caregivers by holding educational events and celebrations. We will work to promote survivorship issues and awareness, work to increase education in the community regarding issues faced by cancer survivors and educate cancer survivors on available solutions. Direct needs of long term survivors may be met based on the discretion of the navigators, survivorship liaison and social workers involved.

D. Earl Pardue Cardiology Fund

Provides scales to congestive heart failure patients who must monitor their weight and cannot afford to buy the scales. The scholarship fund pays the service fees for patients who should attend Heart Track, but cannot afford to do so.

Provides baby car seats to parents who are leaving the hospital and do not have the infant safely secured in a seat. This fund also provides scholarships for new mothers who have been referred by a physician for a lactation consult or a breast pump and cannot afford to pay the fee for services. The fund also provides ongoing support for Alamance Regional’s Level II/III Special Care Nursery.

Andy Lamb Medical Mission Scholarship Fund

Created in honor of Andrew (Andy) S. Lamb, MD for his years of service to ARMC and to international humanitarian outreach through medical missions. This scholarship is established to provide opportunities for those desiring to serve and love others and, in doing so, to make a difference in the world - one life at a time! The scholarship will have two distinct funds: (1) full financial support to qualifying health care providers at ARMC (MD, RN, APP) interested in a short-term medical mission; and (2) partial financial support (amount to be determined by the Board) to a non- US citizen who has distinguished themself through selfless service and support of US medical missions to their country and desire to come to the US for education/training and to work in health care within the US. Requests not falling within these two categories, but demonstrating the servant-heart of Dr. Lamb, may be considered as well at the discretion of the Board.

This fund was created by a donation from John Harman, MD, in memory of his grandmother. The fund helps registered nurses in patient care attend educational seminars to enhance practice and care.
